Description
Todd McFarlane's Spawn Cogliostro and Spawn Production Cel and Animation Drawing Group of 2 (HBO, 1997-99). The mysterious Cogliostro walks behind Spawn in this somber hand-painted production cel from the cult hit animated series Todd McFarlane's Spawn. Perfectly capturing the darkness of the momentous comic it is based on, this show won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animation Program in 1999. The two-layer 12-field cel has the characters measuring a shared image size of 11.5" x 8", displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. The lot comes with the animation drawings for the characters, both done in graphite and color pencils. Spawn's drawing has a paint spot on the bottom right area, and visible surface scuffing. Light paint wear can be seen on Cogliostro cel layer. In overall Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear from production.From the Spawn writer John Leekley Collection.
