Ralph Hulett - "Beach Holiday" Published Original Signed Christmas Card Illustration (c. 1950s). Ralph Hulett's Beach Holiday is a sun-splashed original from his treasured Designer's Showcase Christmas card line, blending seaside leisure with wry holiday cheer. Painted in gouache on a 9" x 12.5" illustration board and signed by Hulett, the scene finds Santa and a reindeer sharing drinks at a café table beneath a jaunty red-and-white striped umbrella. Santa relaxes with his pipe while the reindeer, ever dapper, exhales a perfect smoke ring; sailboats skim the bright horizon beyond. Hulett's hallmark color sense shines-clean whites, coral reds, and crystalline blues arranged with poster-like clarity-while deft brushwork and crisp edges give the tableau a breezy, mid-century elegance.
