Description
Æon Flux "Pilot" Aeon Flux Production Cel Group of 3 Signed by Peter Chung with Animation Drawing (MTV Animation, 1991). The three amazing hand-painted production cels offered in this lot display remarkable images of the immediately recognizable protagonist of Æon Flux from her debut episode "Pilot," signed by the visionary Peter Chung, the famed director behind the series. Airing for the first time on MTV's animation showcase Liquid Television, Æon Flux showcased a strong influence of anime, expressionism, and European comics. The three 12-field cels featured show great posers of the armed Monican agent, measuring figure sizes of 5.75" x 6.25", 3.5" 5.25", and 2.25" x 5.75", images that appear at the 1:59, 7:21, and 7:22 timestamps of the episode that compiled the first series of shorts. Each of the cels is signed by Chung on the bottom area, and they are displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. The lot comes with the matching animation drawing for cel A-6 created in graphite on a 12-field animation sheet. The cels are taped to the background with archival artist tape. Overall, the lot is in Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear from production.From the Personal Archive of Æon Flux Director Peter Chung.
