Description
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse "Building a Building" Limited Edition Sculpture (Walt Disney, 2000). An extremely rare and highly desirable "Medium Big Fig" resin sculpture of construction worker Mickey enjoying his ten-cent lunch, courtesy of lunch lady Minnie. It's a beautiful recreation of the theatrical poster image from the 1933 Mickey Mouse short Building a Building, which co-starred Pete as Mickey's easily-enraged boss. This piece was part of the Disney Nostalgia Collection series of sculpted limited-edition figures, sold exclusively at Disney stores (and quickly sold out of its unnumbered 2,000 pieces). The sculpture is highly detailed, including flocking added to Mickey's red shorts and Minnie's sage-green skirt; it measures approximately 12.5" wide x 10.5" high x 7" deep. The piece does not appear to have been displayed; Mickey's lunch box, a separate part of the sculpture, is included in a plastic bag. Overall condition is Very Good to Fine with minor handling, including a few light contact marks. From the Rummell Collection.
