Pinocchio Blue Fairy Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1940). "Prove yourself brave, truthful and unselfish and someday you will be a real boy." This original hand-inked and hand-painted production cel of Blue Fairy appears at the start of the film around the 16:59 mark. This is an absolutely huge image of this very rare character. She measures 7.5" x 8.5" on a 12 field 5-peghole cel. With only two appearances in this classic Disney film, the Blue Fairy has very little screen time, making quality images of her exceptionally hard to find. The inking detail in this piece is exquisite right down to each individual eyelash. A cel like this is the holy grail of any Pinocchio collector. There are fine hairline crease separations in the paint throughout and a few small chips in the wings and hair; otherwise condition for this 80 year old cel is Good.
