Description
Rockin' with Judy Jetson Production Bumper Cel Signed by Janet Waldo, Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera (Hanna-Barbera, 1986). Judith "Judy" Angela Jetson is the daughter of George and Jane and the big sister of Elroy, who acts just like a normal teenage girl, only with more futuristic tastes and tendencies. Rockin' with Judy Jetson was an animated film made for television by Hanna-Barbera in 1988. It was the second of the two Jetsons movies in the Hanna-Barbera Superstars 10 series and also notably the final Jetsons production to feature all the cast members from the original series. In the story, Judy and her friends idolize rock star Sky Rocker and attend his concert, despite George Jetson's disapproval of rock concerts. Put forward in this lot is an original bumper card or cel (both are acceptable). A bumper (or bump) is a brief announcement, usually two to fifteen seconds in length that can contain a voice over, placed between a pause in the program and its commercial break. "And now, these messages" (or variations of this phrase) is a good example of a bumper break. The piece offered here was hand-painted at the Hanna-Barbera ink and paint department on 12 field acetate and paired with the original hand-painted production background (aka Key Master background). The cel was signed by voice actor, Janet Waldo, who provides the voice for Judy. The cel is also signed by legendary "cartoon makers", Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera. Noted on the bottom of the cel setup is "Rockin' with Judy Jetson Bumper." Artwork condition is Very Good.Auction Info
