Ernie Chan and Marie Severin Marvel Classics Comics #18 - The Odyssey Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1977). What better artist to illustrate Homer's epic Greek poem than Ernie Chan, who would later provide inks on Issue 26 for Homer's other famous poem, The Iliad. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The board has mild all over toning, corner and edge wear, staple holes, marginal tape, adhesive residue staining throughout the image, marginal production notes, creasing, multiple stat paste-ups throughout including all text, image stat paste-ups in the cyclops' horn, skeletons along the bottom, Ernie Chan's signature, and the soldier in the monster's right hand, with some stats coming loose.
