Description
Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island Yosemite Sam Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1983). This Friz Freleng-directed compilation short featured Daffy Duck and Speedy Gonzales in a Fantasy Island parody. Yosemite Sam played a pirate looking for his stolen treasure map. His classic theatrical shorts Captain Hareblower and Hare to Heir were shown as part of the compilation. The well gives the final wish to pirate Sam, saying "A very rich relative in poor health doth will to you his entire wealth." This is a great full-figure hand-inked production cel of Sam in full pirate attire, with a great image measuring 5". The cel is hand-signed by animation legend Friz Freleng (1906 -1995). A Warner Brothers seal is also on the cel. Matted with an opening of 12" x 10", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 19" x 17". The dark blue laminated finish is beginning to peel from the frame edges; frame is sold as-is. Cel is in Very Good condition, with a wonderful image of Yosemite Sam.Auction Info
