Description

Paul Smith and Bob Wiacek The Uncanny X-Men #165 Story Page 3 Original Art (Marvel, 1983). Paul Smith's short run on Uncanny is quite memorable, from giving Storm her punk look to the romance between Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor. This page is from his first work on the title, taking over for the departing Dave Cockrum. Nightcrawler teleports Lilandra to the bridge of the X-Men's ship as Cyclops, Wolverine, and Colossus try to repair a breach in the hull. Ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15". Slight toning, discolored text and effect paste-ups, production trimmed corners, tape abrasions on the top and bottom edges, with light handling wear. Signed by Smith in the bottom margin and in Very Good condition.
