Description

Jim Lee Deathblow #2 Story Page 2 Original Art (Image, 1993). The first time Heritage has offered story pages from Jim Lee's Deathblow series (we also have a double-page spread in this sale). Former Navy SEAL turned meta-human protector, Michael Cray, runs through hostage drills with guns blazing. Lee's dark, gritty art style, which was heavily influenced by Frank Miller's artwork as seen in Sin City, was introduced with the creation of this character, adding to the energy emanating from this piece. Rendered in ink and white paint over graphite on Image Bristol board with an image area of 10.75" x 15". Text paste-ups, hand-embellished stat art paste-up through the bottom two panels with light adhesive discoloring, and light handling wear; otherwise, in Excellent condition.
