Description
Cap'n Crunch "Tickleberry Bush" Commercial Production Background Group (Jay Ward, c. 1967). The line of Cap'n Crunch cereals kept expanding during their 1960s heyday, due no doubt to the clever animated commercials produced by the Jay Ward Studio. Here are three great backgrounds from the "Tickleberry Bush" campaign which launched the ever-popular Crunchberries. The first two are 12-field backgrounds; one is a beautiful painting of the Tickleberry Tree (the source of Crunchberries), labeled BG1; the original layout drawing is included. The second background is a magnificent view of a golden mountain in the shape of the good Cap'n, with Tickleberry and other trees all around, marked BG16. The third is a great 30" x 10" Master pan production background marked BG1, showing the SS Guppy docked at the island, leading to a lush garden of exotic plants. This one also includes the original layout drawing. All the painted backgrounds are in Fine condition with protective acetate overlays, and are fantastic finds for any Cap'n Crunch fanatic!More information about Jay Ward Studios.
