Fun and Fancy Free Bongo and Lulubelle Illustration (Walt Disney, 1947). One of the segments from this Disney compilation film was "Bongo" which was based on a story by Sinclair Lewis. This is the original published Master painting used to create the Publicity/Fan Card released for distribution with this film. It was sold through the Courvoisier Art Program. Many dye transfer prints of this image were sold, but this is the actual painting used to create them and a studio sticker on back confirms that it is "The Original." It's an adorable image of Bongo and Lulubelle in the forest with his unicycle resting against a tree. The art is in goauche on board measuring 12.5" x 9". There is tape on the border from previous framing and a studio certificate is on reverse. The piece shows minor handling wear; otherwise condition is Very Good.Auction Info
