Description
John Schoenherr (attributed) More Macabre Cover Preliminary Painting Original Art (Ace, 1961). A disturbing creature is the focus of the cover to the 1961 horror anthology, which appears to be by noted SF cover artist John Schoenherr (contrary to the later notation on the back of the board). This preliminary painting was created in gouache on illustration board with an image area of 4.25" x 6". Information and cover image paste-up on the back. Slight toning, trimmed edges, notes in the bottom margin, with light smudging/handling wear; otherwise, in Excellent condition.From the Roger Hill Collection.
