Description
Elias Disney O-Zell Company Signed Promissory Note (1917). Walt's father Elias Disney (1859 - 1941) began investing in the O-Zell Company in 1912, and eventually moved back to Chicago to work for them in 1917. Originally, the O-Zell Company was a jelly-canning factory that also bottled apple juice; Elias planned to convert it to producing and bottling soft drinks. This is a rare Elias Disney hand-signed Promissory Note dated February 5, 1917 for $300. Bold India ink signature. Note is 8" x 3". The note originated through Ruth Disney Beecher, the younger sister of Walt Disney. A Letter of Authenticity on how the note was originally acquired is included with the note. A very rare signature!
