Description
Carl Potts and Jim Lee The Punisher War Journal #2 Story Page 9 Original Art (Marvel, 1988). The Punisher visits Microchip to get information on the man responsible for murdering his family while investigating the day of their deaths. Jim Lee provided the finishes over writer Carl Potts' layouts on the Punisher spinoff comic early in Lee's time with Marvel, which would lead to his taking over the X-Men, beginning his journey from superstar artist to industry icon. Ink and screentone over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image size of 10" x 15.25". Slight toning, tape on the top/bottom edges and tape marks in the margins, text paste-up in Panel 5, editorial notes and whiteout corrections/touch-ups, with smudging and handling wear. In Very Good condition.From the Personal Collection of Jim Lee.
