Carl Potts and Jim Lee The Punisher War Journal #1 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1988). The Punisher stands before the barrel of a 9MM on this opening title splash from the first issue of the new Punisher spinoff. This is only the third page Heritage has offered from the premiere issue of the series focused on the adventures of the vigilante/antihero as detailed in his war journal. At-the-time newcomer Jim Lee supplied the finishes over the layouts of writer Carl Potts. Ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 13". Slight toning, pinhole in the top margin, whiteout corrections/touch-ups, adhesive residue on the back, with light creasing and edge/handling wear.
