Description
Joe Giella Batman #190 Cover Re-Creation Original Art (c. 1990s). Joe Giella inked the original 1967 cover from the "Go-Go Checks" era of DC comics which features Batman, Robin, and Penguin, and gave it another turn many years later with this fine reconstruction of penciler Carmine Infantino's composition. The accuracy and character placements are near-impeccable. Created in ink and watercolor on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 20", matted to an overall size of 19.25" x 26". The DC logo, CCA icon, issue number and month, and 12¢ price text are stat paste-ups, and there is some light handling wear along the mat. Although Infantino didn't work on this piece, he has signed it, along with Giella in lower left In Excellent condition.More Information: EDIT: Only the DC logo, the CCA icon, the issue number and month, and the 12¢ price are stat paste-ups.
