Description
Bill (Will) Elder Chuck & Di Have a Baby: Paper Doll Book Cover Original Art (Fireside, 1982). Then-Prince Charles (now King Charles) and his wife of the time, Princess Diana, were the subject of this charming paper doll book centered on the subject of the impending birth of their first child, Prince William. This cover is composed of three layers affixed together. The two figures and the Palace are on a section of Bristol board trimmed to the figures edges. These are set atop another sheet of Bristol board with a painting of the sky. These are then set atop an illustration board with the lower portion of the background painted on that. Opaque watercolor and ink over graphite with a combined image area of 9" x 12". Signed by Will Elder in the lower left. In Excellent condition.From the Personal Collection of Bill Elder. Certificate of Authenticity from Heritage Auctions.
