Description
MAD #22 Gaines File Pedigree 1/12 (EC, 1955) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages. This is the highest-graded copy we've ever seen of this "Special Art Issue," with a cover and interior photos by Harvey Kurtzman. To have any comic-size MAD in 9.8 is pretty special -- 10 of the 22 issues still have no 9.8 on the CGC census. Note also that this copy was ranked the best of the 12 Gaines File copies of #22 by Bob Overstreet. Overstreet 2024 NM- 9.2 value = $725. CGC census 10/25: 2 in 9.8, none higher.CGC Grader Notes:
