Matt Baker (attributed) and Alex Blum Seven Seas Comics #1 Story Page 4 Original Art (Universal Phoenix Features, 1946). This page is featured in Matt Baker: The Art of Glamour. The famed "good girl" artist got his start at the Iger Studios as an inker, but soon asserted himself with his pencil artistry as here on the character Melody dominating the page that was otherwise drawn by Alex Blum. It's a grand twice-up scale page featuring Tugboat Tessie and her very strong daughter Melody. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.25" x 18". There is a bit of white paint art clean-up on the toned board. In Very Good condition.
