Description

Alex Toth and Terry Austin Superman Annual #9 Story Page 17 Original Art (DC, 1983). This page offers definitive proof that Superman is indeed "more powerful than a locomotive," as the Man of Steel bursts from underground carrying a Metropolis subway car, hoisting it overhead, and dropping two hijackers in front of the police -- now that's what you call an unexpected detour! Famed artist and animator Alex Toth teamed with inker Terry Austin for this action-packed page, rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board. The artwork has been glass-front framed to a visible image area of approximately 10" x 15", with an overall size of 14" x 19.5". It features whiteout corrections and slight toning. While the frame shows scuffing and scratches, the visible art is in Excellent condition.
