Description
Joe Simon (as Chester Gould) Dick Tracy #129 Cover Original Art (Harvey, 1958). Crime comics at their finest! Joe Simon, co-creator of Captain America, ghosted for Chester Gould on this all-original cover, as Dick Tracy barrels after the notorious Son of Flattop. Though the issue reprints the classic Flattop Jr. arc from the newspaper strip, this explosive cover art is all original, packed with hard-boiled grit from a Golden Age master. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The board is toned with a stat logo, text, and a corner box. There is a 7" hole above the logo from a missing header, whiteout art corrections, frame paste-up around the image, adhesive residue, marginal smudging, and handling wear.
