Description

Al Avison Harvey Comics Hits #54 Cover Original Art (Harvey Comics, 1951). The book is better known as Tim Tyler's Tales of Jungle Terror, per its dominant logotype. This entry is missing much of that logo, as a consequence of adhesive deterioration. The greater point is a heavy-duty action scene, pitting explorer Tim Tyler against trigger-happy villains and a gigantic spider. A far cry from Alex Raymond and Lyman Young's classic newspaper strip, Tim Tyler's Luck, and a classic comic-book image in its own right. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 13" x 19.75". Pronounced adhesive staining and age-toning. Good condition.
