Description
Al Jaffee Willie Weirdie Zaps Al Jaffee Near Complete Book Original Art Group of 130+ (Signet, 1983). Willie Weirdie was the brain-child of Jaffee for use in his Tall Tales comic strip (1959), but the beloved bad boy couldn't be contained to the strip and branched out to paperbacks, causing chaos for his creator. Included here is most of the 192-page book, created in ink and marker over blue pencil on vellum/paper/Bristol board with page image areas ranging from 4" x 6" to 6.5" x 10.5". The pages are pieced together with art on vellum and stats, with some of the art rendered directly on the pages. Includes single pages and larger two-page sheets. Whiteout corrections/touch-ups and handling wear. Also includes separate rubylith shading overlays. Overall, in Very Good condition.Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
