Description
X-Men: The Animated Series "Night of the Sentinels, Part II" Sentinel Original Production Cel (Marvel Studios, 1992). "Sorry. Not this time, sugar." The mutant-hunting Sentinel is getting pummeled by the Southern belle Rogue in this hand-painted cel to prevent them and Henry Gyrich from experimenting on the mutant youngster Jubilee. Originally aired on 11/7/1992 as Episode 2 of Season 1, Four X-Men, Wolverine, Storm, Beast and Morph break into the headquarters of the newly discovered Mutant Control Agency to destroy the database of mutants, meanwhile Jubilee is helplessly being interrogated by the callous Henry Gyrich about the fight at the mall with the Sentinels. Rogue was created by comic book writer Chris Claremont and comic book artist Michael Golden making her debut in Avengers Annual #10 originally to be a foil against the X-Men and other Marvel superheroes. Actress Lenore Zann provided her iconic voice for Rogue and returned for the sequel series X-Men '97, as well as across several notable entertainment media such as the highly popular video games Marvel vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom 2. This moment of high-octane action can be seen at the 18:47 mark of the episode. The combined character image measures at 7.25" x 7" and is displayed over a scene matching print background for presentation purposes.
