Carl Barks "Belle Starr, Outlaw Queen" Painting Preliminary Original Art (1978). From Barks' series "Famous Figures of History as They Might Have Looked Had Their Genes Gotten Mixed with Waterfowl". Belle Starr, a ranch owner and outlaw, gets the duck treatment by the "Duck-man" himself! The avian outlaws celebrate their ill-gotten rewards in this painting prelim created in graphite with an image area of 8" x 10", matted and glass-front framed to 15.25" x 17.25". Slight toning and notes in the bottom margin. Presents in Excellent condition.
