Sam Kieth Wolverine: Blood Hungry Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1993). Artist Sam Kieth created many iconic Wolverine covers for Marvel Comics Presents beginning with Issue #85, which kicked off the "Blood Hungry" storyline, but this striking image of a crouching Wolverine bathed in shadow with claws popped, backed by a sinister shot of Cyber showing off his sharp talons, is one of the best! The powerful impact of the piece showcasing Kieth's unique and hyper-detailed art style was perfectly utilized as the cover to the trade paperback which collected the entire eight-part serial that introduced Cyber, a deadly adversary from Logan's past, looking to become a crime boss in Madripoor... and get some payback! Ink over blue pencil on Marvel cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Wolverine is an original art paste-up. Abrasion along the left side and in the top margin, whiteout corrections/touch-ups, with adhesive staining and light handling wear. Signed by Kieth in the right side image area and on the back.
