Description

Al Feldstein Panic #5 Cover Original Art (EC, 1954). Whereas MAD was "Humor in a Jugular Vein", Panic was "Humor in a Varicose Vein"! And this "sideways" cover was EC's answer to Cineramascope widescreen movies. It may have been just a stupid joke, but it produced this fantastic and striking cover, the only one of its kind among all EC covers! Al Feldstein really knocked it out of the park with this one. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 19.5" x 13.5" (or 13.5" x 19.5" if you turn it sideways.) Toned, with paste-up text and trade dressing. In Very Good condition.
