The World of Fanzines by Fredric Wertham Poster (Southern Illinois University Press, 1973). The book is hard to find, the poster much more so! The black and white poster measures 17" x 22". This poster advertises the book The World of Fanzines, by Doctor Fredric Wertham. Yes...that Fredric Wertham! The same man who wrote the infamous book Seduction of the Innocent, which sparked the charge against comic books in 1950s also wrote a very complementary book in 1973 about the growing Fanzine movement in the comic book sub-culture. He even went so far as to say fanzines were "a constructive and healthy exercise of creative drives". His support and approval was met with suspicion by many fans of that period.
