Marvel Science Stories #1 August 1938 (Red Circle) CGC VF 8.0 White pages. A little over a year before Marvel Comics #1, there was Marvel Science Stories #1! This title represents the first use of the "Marvel" logo, used on the cover of the historic Marvel Comics #1 that launched Timely Comics. This issue features a brainy bondage cover by Norman Saunders, with story illustrations by Frank R. Paul. One of two highest-graded CGC copies, this is the sole CGC 8.0 with white pages. CGC notes, "From the Collection of Dr. Richard Meli". Bookery's Guide to Pulps Second Edition 2020 VF 8.0 value = $300. CGC census 10/25: 2 in 8.0, none higher.CGC Grader Notes:
