Mike Mignola Hellboy: Wake the Devil #3 Story Page 1 Original Art (Dark Horse, 1996). This early Hellboy page features everything a Mike Mignola fan could possibly want -- gothic religious imagery, moody mythical exposition, a castle, giant monsters attacking, and Hellboy firing the Samaritan! The contrast between quiet somber panels and large, loud, action-packed splashes typifies Mignola's uniquely dark sense of humor, with Hellboy cursing at a swarm of giant evil bird-women. As well, Mignola sketched a cute but confused Abe Sapien in the lower margin. Ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 8.75" x 14". Small whiteout corrections, slight smudging, toning, and handling wear. Signed by Mignola in the lower right and in Excellent condition.Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
