Pep Comics #32 (MLJ, 1942) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Cream to off-white pages. An early Archie appearance is a highwater mark of this issue, and on the Nazi / bondage / torture cover by Bob Montana, the Shield debuts a new costume. The infamous female-decapitated-head-on-a-spike splash page from this book was used as the cover of Roly Poly Comics #14. Irv Novick and Paul Reinman art. Just two copies of issue #32 have ever been assigned higher grades by CGC. Overstreet 2022 VF/NM 9.0 value = $4,130; NM- 9.2 value = $5,900. CGC census 11/22: 1 in 9.0, 2 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
