Description

Reed Waller Omaha the Cat Dancer #2 Cover Original Art (SteelDragon Press, 1986). With her lover, Chuck, silhouetted at the window, Omaha gazes wistfully from her balcony, in this evocative cover by Reed Waller. After writing the first issue of the series himself, Reed suffered from writer's block while working on this issue, and enlisted his then-girlfriend and songwriting partner, the late Kate Worley, as scripter. The result was a memorable, provocative series with a long-lasting impact. This beautiful cover, drawn in ink on bristol, has an image area of approximately 11.5" x 17". A hand-colored paper stat color guide of the cover logo (for the second edition, published by Kitchen Sink) is included, and had been paper-clipped to the art. Other than a few slight indentation marks from the paper clip, the art is in Excellent condition. Waller's Omaha art doesn't change hands often, so don't miss this rare opportunity to pick up a truly magnificent example!
