Description

Sheldon Moldoff All-American Comics #16 Green Lantern Cover Re-Creation Original Art (undated). The late, great Sheldon "Shelly" Moldoff created this incredible cover reprise of All-American Comics #16, originally published in July 1940. All-American Comics #16 is a key issue because it showcased the first appearance of Green Lantern, and Moldoff set the pace with this iconic cover scene. Moldoff also created the next seven A-A covers, all spotlighting the Emerald Gladiator in action, and his GL covers remain a high point of the Golden Age. This 15" x 20.5" fan-favorite was created in pen and ink, marker, and watercolor, and the art is in Excellent condition.
