Description
George Wilson Magnus, Robot Fighter #1 Cover Painting Original Art (Gold Key, 1963). Russ Manning (regular series artist on this title) supplied the original rough sketch concept art for this image, and George Wilson handled the final composition and painting. Magnus, Robot Fighter was about a man raised by a robot to defend humans from other robots. Here Magnus is seen defeating the evil robot H8 ("Hate") while saving Leeja Clane. This gorgeous gouache on illustration board painting has an image area of 9.75" x 13.5".
