Description
Al Feldstein and Johnny Craig Crime Patrol #13 Complete 9-Page Story "I Fight Crime" Original Art (EC, 1949). Al Feldstein and Johnny Craig have collaborated on this story, using their team ghost-name of "F. C. Aljohn." Al Feldstein commented, " -- I wish that I could draw like Johnny Craig. He was slick and finished and was my idol of where I'd like to go with my artwork.... The Love and Crime books had some stories that were done by F.C. Aljohn, which was Feldstein, Craig, Al, and John..." Al Feldstein wrote and penciled the story, and Johnny Craig inked it. As a bonus to art fans, there are some lovely Johnny Craig blue-penciled drawings on the backs of pages 3, 4, and 5. The overall art paper measures 15" x 22", with an image area of 13" x 18". Some of the blue under-penciling shows from beneath the inks. The art is in excellent condition. The Crime Patrol title stats at the top of each page have fallen off, leaving a glue stain. Panel three of page six has a word balloon correction, that has also slipped off. An early crime story by EC's two editor-writer-artist phenoms.More information about Al Feldstein.
