Description
Al Dellinges Infinity Inc. #4 (Flash Comics #71 Golden Age Hawkman Cover and 9-Page Story "The Land of the Bird People" Re-Creation) Original Art Group (DC, 1984). Editor/writer Roy Thomas asked Al Dellinges to recreate Joe Kubert's Golden Age Hawkman story for inclusion in Infinity Inc. #4. In this Gardner Fox tale, a super-intelligent race of bird people is accidentally discovered in the Arctic. Hawkman's job --prevent their destruction at the hands of men. As a bonus, we also include Al's re-creation of the cover of Flash Comics #71 which also appeared in this issue, at the back of the book. The image area of these re-created story pages measures approximately 16" x 22.25", while the cover has an image area of 13" x 19". The lettering was redone on vellum overlays for the printed comic book story; otherwise, the pages average Excellent condition. A copy of the comic book is included with this lot.
