Description

Roy Crane Captain Easy Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-16-43 (NEA Service, 1943). It's a Lulu Belle Suggs solo strip by Roy Crane! Lulu Belle was a former lady wrestler and the only woman who could match Captain Easy for sheer toughness! She was so popular that eventually (in about 1965) she spun out into her own comic strip. But in this one, she has her hands full with a hirsute suitor! Ink over graphite on Bristol board that has been cut into two parts. When assembled, they have a combined image area of 25.5" x 21". The original logo was paste-up and is missing, the pages are slightly yellowed, and there is spotting and soiling. Overall it is in Good condition and very funny!
