Description

The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure Aquaman Production Cel Setup and Animation Drawing (Filmation, 1967). Featured in this lot is Justice League member Aquaman, also known as Arthur Curry, looking over his shoulder in an original hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field 3-cel production setup. Aquaman is one of DC Comics' earliest heroes, debuting in More Fun Comics #74, in 1941, and has appeared in comics throughout the 1940s to the modern day. The rendered image size of the sea dwelling hero is approximately 5.5" x 7.5". Included with the cel is the matching animation drawing in graphite and colored pencil. Featured on the drawing are a few production notations including "Held." The production artwork shows signs of production handling and edgewear. With light paint remnants on the animation drawing, a bottom left corner crease on the drawing, minor debris in the cel setup with paint remnants along the top edge, two stapples at the bottom corners of the cel, a crease on the top layer of the setup, and slight curling to the acetone sheets. Overall, this lot is in Very Good condition.
