Description

Don Heck and John Romita Sr. The Avengers #23 Story Page 9 Original Art (Marvel, 1965). This may be splitting hairs a bit, but this issue marked the first time John Romita Sr.'s work was published in a Marvel Comic! Sure, he had regular work with DC, and had even had some stuff published with Marvel's previous incarnation as Atlas Comics -- but this was the first true Marvel (and therefore Marvel-U) story he had published. This page featuring Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver was also published in Comic Book Profiles #4 in 1998 on Page 14.
Romita's inks over Heck's pencil work at twice-up scale on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". The board is lightly toned, with a small stain in the top margin, and handling wear. In Very Good condition. Comes with a copy of Comic Book Profiles #4.
