Description

John Buscema and Frank Giacoia Sub-Mariner #24 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1970). Tiger Shark takes Namor for his "last ride!" The prince of Atlantis is chained to a killer whale on this dynamic cover by Buscema and Giacoia (inks have been cited by various sources as Mike Esposito or Johnny Craig, but Giacoia's name is handwritten on the back, leading us to believe he is the actual inker). Ink over graphite and blue pencil on cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, stat logo/header and text paste-ups, tape in the corner box and cuts around the bottom right text balloon, staple/pinholes in the top margin, extensive whiteout correction, with staining, creasing, and handling wear; otherwise, in Very Good condition.
