Description

Four Color #386 Uncle Scrooge (Dell, 1952) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white to white pages. A splendid, high-grade copy of Uncle Scrooge in "Only A Poor Old Man," his first full cover appearance. Carl Barks provided the story, the cover, and the interior art for the issue. The barbarous Beagle Boys make an appearance. Overstreet considers this to be the first issue of the Uncle Scrooge series. We have not seen a higher-graded copy since 2012. Overstreet 2019 NM- 9.2 value = $6,300. CGC census 3/20: 11 in 9.2, 9 higher.
