Description

Rich Buckler, Joe Sinnott, and John Romita Sr. Thor #244 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1976). This chaotic and action-packed cover was penciled by Rich Buckler and inked by Joltin' Joe Sinnott. After that, Marvel's Art Director, Jazzy John Romita, completely re-drew Jane Foster over whiteout. Sinnott's original inkwork below that can be viewed when backlit. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The entire masthead trade dressing is composed of a paste-up stat. The hand-lettered word balloons are paste-ups. The two lower captions are modern-day photocopy replacements for the missing original paste-ups. There is a horizontal crease across the bottom third of the page. The board is toned, with minor stains and glue residue. Signed by Buckler and Sinnott in the lower left of the image area. In Good condition.
