War Against Crime #10 Gaines File Pedigree (EC, 1949) CGC NM/MT 9.8 White pages. Horror history was made in what was officially a crime book, as this issue contains the first appearances of the Vault of Horror and the Vault Keeper. Johnny Craig provided a story, the cover, and interior art for the issue. Al Feldstein also added art. While CGC certified this as from the Gaines File Pedigree, no certificate accompanies the book. Overstreet 2021 NM- 9.2 value = $3,600. CGC census 1/22: 7 in 9.8, 1 higher.
