Description

Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers Fantastic Four #17 Story Page 2 Dr. Doom Original Art (Marvel, 1963). The Fantastic Four recall their adventures in the Micro-World of Dr. Doom, lamenting the villain's escape after his defeat at the hands of Marvel's First Family. It's among the greatest Doom pages the famed duo of Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers ever created, as the miscreant Doctor appears in three dynamic panels! We even get an early cameo appearance of Ant-Man in the right side of the last panel. A great action-filled flashback sequence from "Defeated by Doctor Doom!" Twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.75" x 18.75". Adhesive residue staining from a missing text correction paste-up that added the line "(... again) that I ain't even mad at (you!)". Slight toning, marginal notes, and whiteout corrections, with smudging and handling wear. Signed by Kirby in the bottom margin and in Very Good condition.
