Description

Jack Davis MAD #3 "Lone Stranger!" Complete 7-Page Story Original Art (EC, 1953). This Harvey Kurtzman-penned story proves that "stranger danger" is a real thing! No one is safe in this story, not even the townspeople, and certainly not the reputation of the Lone Ranger himself! The comic was only three issues old, but already the jokes were way older than that! It was goofy over-the-top parodies such as this that built the (eech!) MAD house style. The twice-up scale pages were created in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". Each page has been matted to 18" x 23". The pages are lightly toned with some minor stains. In Very Good condition.
