Description

The Shadow Club Lapel Stud Radio Premium and Unused Matchbook (c. 1930s-40s). A silvered brass lapel stud, featuring the famous Shadow profile, measuring approximately .75" across. Most of the silver is missing, but the details are strong and sharp. Also included with this lot is an unused pack of matches advertising the Shadow radio program and its sponsor, Blue Coal, with an imprinted back address for Caton Coal Company. Inside the matchbook is a separate Shadow image on cardboard, attached to give a three dimensional affect when the book is opened. This item is not listed in Hake's Pop Culture Memorabilia Price Guide, but a similar unused book (without the extra image) lists in NM for $175. The stud, in FN, lists for $375 From the Jack and Julie Juka Collection.
