Description

Police Comics #1 Mile High pedigree (Quality, 1941) CGC NM 9.4 White pages. Finest copy known of a milestone Golden Age issue! It's a Mile High copy right down to the pristine white pages, and the grade is all the more impressive when CGC's census is considered -- only three other copies have earned at least a VF 8.0 to date. The premiere issue of Quality's flagship title of the 1940s had the origin and first appearance of Plastic Man by Jack Cole, as well as first appearances of Phantom Lady, Firebrand, and the Human Bomb, with art by Fred Guardineer and Paul Gustavson. Overstreet 2013 NM- 9.2 value = $15,500. CGC census 2/14: 1 in 9.4, none higher.
