Description

Pep Comics #29 (MLJ, 1942) CGC FN- 5.5 Slightly brittle pages. Irv Novick and Alex Schomburg teamed up for this over-the-top JapaNazi WWII headlight cover. Inside the book, the origin of the Shield is retold and there are even a couple of hanging panels. Early Archie appearance. This is currently the highest graded copy. Overstreet 2014 FN 6.0 value = $870. CGC census 11/14: 1 in 5.5, none higher. From the Prospect Mountain Collection.
