Flash Comics #44 "D" Copy pedigree (DC, 1943) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white pages. This pedigree copy's superbly preserved colors showcase a striking cover image by E. E. Hibbard. Though "King" Standish was no longer part of the book's lineup by this time, the rest of this title's usual stars are here doing their thing: the Flash, Johnny Thunder, the Ghost Patrol, the Whip, and Hawkman are all busy righting wrongs inside the comic. This is the highest-graded copy, and the only one graded above 8.0, that CGC has certified to date. Overstreet 2009 NM- 9.2 value = $1,475. CGC census 4/10: 1 in 9.2, none higher.
